Michael Moran
Started in 2021, Michael owns and manages his small business in New Jersey, completing investment and construction projects of various size and scale. In addition, he has continued to consult for other real estate development companies in the New Jersey and New York City markets, relating to entitlement, planning, construction, and capital improvement needs.
He has worked for companies large and small, completing projects in numerous markets, serving as both a developer and contractor.
Michael’s experience is extensive. At this point in his career he has renovated, changed use, and built projects of nearly all sizes and scale, totaling thousands of units and millions in gross square footage.
Prior to starting Moran & Co, Michael was a Director of Development for a large multifamily real estate developer in Manhattan, managing over 1,400 units of ground up construction and value add development projects in New York City, Jersey City and Westchester County, totaling over $1 billion in value.
Before his recent time in the New Jersey area, Michael spent nine years in Washington DC, working for Clark Construction and John Moriarty & Associates, a few of the largest and most well-respected construction management firms in the country. Both companies offered the finest training available, teaching how to manage and self-perform work at scale. He had the opportunity to complete numerous multifamily, office, hotel, mixed use, healthcare, institutional, and heavy civil projects before returning to New Jersey and be closer to family.
Michael came up working for his family’s construction businesses in New Jersey, a self-performed specialty mechanical contracting firm and general contracting company, completing projects up and down the eastern seaboard. His experience at his family’s small businesses has been integral to his understanding of what it means to build.
